Proverbs 6:6 admonishes the sluggard to consider [take into account; mull over; study] the ant.  Having done so, I have found that there are many life lessons to be learned from this tiny God creation whose many great feats have caused them to be dubbed “master builders.”

Using every part of his body to the fulfillment of a corporate assignment, the ant knows full well the proper use of each part.  In particular we find valuable instruction as to how he engages his mouth as a working tool by using it to haul food and building material to the nest.

What an awesome lesson to be learned.  My mouth must carry what is necessary for my survival and transport the necessary building material for my life.  Of a truth, my words frame my world.   What is in my mouth will determine whether I fail or succeed.    My life is consistently under the construction of my mouth.

Ecclesiastes 12:11 declares “The words of the wise are as goads, and as nails fastened by the masters of assemblies…”  What is a goad? A goad is that which encourages a process to begin, increase or develop.  Our words then are the stimulus for the activities that take place in our lives.  Made in the image of our Father who brought the worlds into existence by the power of his mouth, we must use our mouths to activate, generate and procreate.

Remember your tongue is a creative force.

Use it wisely.
